10 questions people ask before signing up for PowerEPOS

If you are considering installing PowerEPOS at your hospitality venue, business, or organisation, here are 10 questions we regularly get asked about it.

 

1. How much is PowerEPOS?
PowerEPOS is priced at the super-low price of just $55.00 (1 site, 1 device) per month. Additional POS devices are priced at $35.00 per device, per month. All prices include GST. Monthly fees also include upgrades and support in case you need it. Check our POS Pricing for more info.

2. What happens if the internet goes down?
PowerEPOS is what we call a cloud-based hybrid POS system. This means that if the internet should go down, or you lose your data connection, PowerEPOS will continue to operate. Transactions and back-office changes will be stored locally until the connection is re-established, when they will again sync with the cloud. 

This makes PowerEPOS a great POS system to take on the road to events or pop-up stores where the internet could be a problem and provides confidence and peace of mind that if anything should happen at your venue, your POS will continue operating.


3. What operating system does PowerEPOS use?
PowerEPOS only operates on the Windows operating system. PowerEPOS does not run on iOS or Android. Find out the minimum hardware requirements for PowerEPOS to run efficiently. 

4. What if I don’t have a Windows 10 device? 

If you need a Windows 10 device, you can either source your own or we can supply high-quality, competitively priced POS terminals, tablets, and POS hardware bundles including a terminal or tablet, receipt printer, and cash drawer. 5. Do you charge transaction fees? 
We don't charge transaction fees, and the way our POS software is built means that we will never charge transaction fees. 
 
6. How is support charged? 
Included in your PowerEPOS subscription is an onboarding session to get you up and running, and support and upgrades. We’ve also provided a comprehensive online training center full of videos and guides to quickly get you and your staff trained up and using PowerEPOS. 

7. How can I cancel my PowerEPOS subscription? 
If you decide you do not want to continue with PowerEPOS POS software, just let us know by email to Triniteq Support, at least 7 days before your next billing date. We will then cancel your account and you will not be billed further.

8. Is my data being held securely in PowerEPOS? 
Built on the Microsoft Azure cloud platform, the same platform as NASA and Netflix, with PowerEPOS your data is super secure. If you decide to cancel PowerEPOS, you can just export your data, and we will erase your account from our system – easy! 

9. Can I purchase PowerEPOS outright?
As PowerEPOS is a cloud-based software package, it cannot be purchased outright. This is because cloud software attracts ongoing data tenancy fees. But included in the PowerEPOS low monthly fee, are support and upgrades so you won’t pay anything more for your POS software (unless you decide to add on modules such as online ordering or accounting).

10. How do I sign up for PowerEPOS?
When you are ready to sign up, just contact us. For more information and what's included, check out our POS Pricing page. When you sign up, you will need to enter credit card details to activate the subscription. For month one, we calculate the subscription fee from the date you go live with PowerEPOS, to the end of the month. For all other months, PowerEPOS is billed on the first day of the month.
